Nexus iR&D Laboratory, LLC presents the inaugural Alpha.Nexus, a private engagement and networking event for the master class of New England innovators, entrepreneurs, advisors, and investors. Supported in part by BRA, Ello, IBM, docoBANKSY, and Harvard College Entrepreneurs and kindly hosted by Le Laboratoire on the evening of May 24, 2016, a light fare and an open bar will be provided by Cafe ArtScience. On exhibition in the main gallery will be "150 Milliseconds" by Random International. Additional art, music and technology will be provided by Nyx Gallery. Pre-registration / RSVP and ticket are required for admittance.

You are cordially invited to attend “The Human Experience”, a special evening with Nyx Gallery Artist, Kendric Tonn. Born in 1982 in Phoenix AZ and raised in Wooster, Ohio, Tonn earned a BA in English from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2004. He then lived in Japan for a year, traveling, teaching, and drawing, before deciding to seek formal artistic training. He studied at the Florence Academy of Art, from which he graduated in 2010. The human experience has always been at the center of his Tonn’s work. Enduring human concerns, themes, and stories, are what drives his paintings, and central to that, the most universal of all subjects, the human figure. His paintings, whatever subject they may have, depict individual people, exposed to universal feelings.

Nyx Gallery will conduct a private studio practicum and group painting event at Harvard University on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the main event room at 5 Cowperthwaite St. As part of the Graduate Commons Program, the event is open to all residents of Harvard housing but limited to 20 participants.

The demonstration topics will involve techniques in post-expressionism, color field, and minimalism including a slideshow of some well-known movement artists and their major works.

Participants will be guided through a series of painting projects to create and critique during the event, on both paper and canvas, which they may choose to keep. The final hour of the session will be dedicated to a group collaborative painting project on a very large canvas.

All necessary painting materials will be provided, including paints, canvas, paper and tools. Attendees should note that appropriate clothing for painting should be worn. 

Food and drinks will also be provided.

Tile International will kindly host a networking event and documentary showing of "Charles and Ray Eamers: The Architect and the Painter".
